Abstract

Qué es lo que entendemos por desarrollo? Es el desarrollo un concepto homogéneo? Deben seguir todos las sociedades el mismo patrón de desarrollo? Este artículo pretende desafiar el concepto tradicional del desarrollo y reforzar la idea de que el desarrollo de depende de las prioridades particulares de cada sociedad, sean materiales o no, donde la satisfacción de las Necesidades Básicas Humanas y la eliminación de la pobreza extrema es el punto fundamental de partida.
