La Política Social De Superación De La Pobreza Durante El Sexenio Del Cambio En México Y Los Efectos A Largo Plazo

Abstract

Este artículo trata la efectividad de la estrategia de superación de la pobreza, llamada Oportunidades en México en el marco de los Compromisos del Milenio del año 2000. Atribuyendo la falta de ingresos como causa fundamental de las condiciones percibidas en los pobres, la efectividad del gasto social se analiza por medio de la superación del ingreso obtenido en los deciles de bajos ingresos. Esta demostración consistió en determinar si el programa de superación de la pobreza por medio del gasto social tuvo efectos en el ingreso de los pobres en las entidades federativas, en el periodo comprendido del 2000 al 2006. Destacando al final del presente trabajo, la necesidad apremiante de considerar el efecto de las transferencias de dinero en el desarrollo humano de la población objetivo a largo plazo.
