Panamá En El Contexto De La Ii Guerra Mundial: Aproximación Histórica

Abstract

Enmarcados en el contexto de la segunda guerra mundial, el presente ensayo esboza una aproximación del entorno social, político y económico que Panamá experimenta en ese momento histórico. A pesar de que Panamá como Estado no intervino como actor directo en el desarrollo de la conflagración; no se puede negar que indirectamente, se ve involucrado por la preponderancia de su posición geográfica. Antes, durante y después del conflicto bélico, la sociedad panameña se vio inmersa en cambios tantos cualitativos como cuantitativos de diferente índole. Háblese de cambios sociales, económicos, políticos u de otro tenor, en su conjunto, con el transcurrir de los años, han propiciado la estructuración de lo que hoy en día es, el Panamá moderno.
