Abstract

En la sociedad contemporánea asistimos a un fenómeno complejo y en continuo crecimiento: la realidad de los medios de comunicación social, los “ mass-media”, o los “medios de masas” que están presentes en parcelas cada vez más amplias de nuestra vida. Los medios de comunicación nos acercan a la “aldea global”, en donde hechos, acontecimientos, informaciones, opiniones, etc. De todo el planeta llegan a ser conocidos de forma casi inmediata en los lugares a los que dichos medios alcanzan. El fenómeno reviste tanta importancia que a pesar de su novedad, existe una amplia bibliografía sobre los medios, su incidencia en la sociedad, su estructura comunicativa, sus códigos expresivos y los recursos propios de cada medio.
