Apuntes teórico sobre el tratamiento de la promoción de salud como práctica sociocultural

Abstract

El presente trabajo enfoca la temática la promoción contra las ITS/VIH/sida como práctica sociocultural y asume la metodología de trabajo social comunitario. El análisis se desarrolla a partir de la promoción sociocultural sobre las infecciones transmisibles. El estudio enfoca la promoción de salud como expresión de las prácticas que los actores realizan en las comunidades para mejorar su salud y ejercer un mayor control sobre sí misma, y alcanzar un estado adecuado de bienestar físico, mental y social y satisfacer sus necesidades. Todo esto se logra desde las estrategias que son capaces de elaborar y aplicar en las comunidades. Desde la perspectiva sociocultural significa un aporte por el tratamiento teórico de concebir la promoción como práctica sociocultural en un contexto comunitario; lo cual posibilita integrar los actores socioculturales de una comunidad para desarrollar el trabajo comunitario integral, metodología que dirige el proceso de investigación, como novedad científica.
