    Abstract

    El perfeccionamiento continuo del proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje de las asignaturas del área de ciencias en la universidad requiere de la actualización sistemática de las concepciones teóricas y metodológicas como vía esencial de superación permanente de los profesores para elevar la preparación integral de las nuevas generaciones de profesionales. .El diagnóstico de preparación de los estudiantes para ingresar a la universidad y de los primeros años en la carrera de Agronomía demuestran insuficiencias en el dominio del contenido y falta integralidad en la apropiación de los contenidos de las ciencias en grados precedentes. El análisis del proceso de enseñanza- aprendizaje evidencia predominio de un estilo tradicional en su dirección.
