La identidad profesional: una cualidad esencial para la formación inicial del psicopedagogo

Abstract

La formación inicial contemporánea del psicopedagogo es una prioridad en las Universidades de Ciencias Pedagógicas, dada por la implicación social que ejerce este en la orientación y asesoría educativa a estudiantes, familiares, y vecinos de la comunidad entre otras funciones inherentes al Licenciado en Educación, especialidad Pedagogía-Psicología. Para contribuir con la formación de un especialista de excelencia en estas disciplinas es necesario ir incorporándole cualidades que singularicen el rol desde el primer año de la carrera, logrando con ello una identidad profesional adecuada y consciente de la labor educativa; el estar identificado con el ejercicio de la profesión implica una mayor motivación por la carrera, un nivel elevado de responsabilidad por resolver los problemas profesionales que se presentan en la práctica diaria, también se garantiza la permanencia el sector educacional unido al nivel de compromiso para resolver los problemas que son propias de esta profesión en el territorio donde ejercerán la labor educativa.
