Cómo Combatimos La Deserción Escolar En El Nivel Secundario

Abstract

En México, principalmente en el estado de Chihuahua la cobertura en educación, en el nivel secundario ha ido en incremento, pero a la par, la deserción escolar no ha disminuído a la par de esta cobertua. Este documento se centra en investigar, desde un análisis descriptivo y econométrico, cuales son los principales factores que conllevan a la deserción y cuál de estos factores conduce a un incremento de probabilidad de deserción. La investigación se centra en ciertos municipios de la zona sur del estado de Chihuahua, entre ellos, Hidalgo del Parral, San Francisco del Oro, Santa Bárbara, El Valle de Allende, Matamoros, El Pueblito de Allende, Villa Coronado y Ciudad Jiménez. A través de un modelo logit se demuestra que los factores que aumentan la probabilidad a la deserción escolar son problemas familiares y económicos, mientras que la reduce los ingresos mayores a 3 salarios mñinimos.
