Ensayo sobre arte chileno. Tres intervenciones en la fachada del Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes

Abstract

El presente trabajo se basa en el análisis comparativo de tres obras de artistas chilenos, que tienen como punto en común el haber intervenido la fachada del Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes entre los años 1969 y 1997, con diferentes lenguajes artísticos entremezclados, traspasando las fronteras de la tradición artística, al tratarse de tres obras diferentes: una escultura-instalación, una escultura-performance y una instalación de índole más conceptual. El hecho de intervenir la fachada del Museo fue totalmente innovador en estos años y sin duda debemos leerlo como un cuestionamiento a la institucionalidad oficial del arte chileno en tiempos de dictadura militar, representada en este emblemático edificio.
