Propuesta de recuperación del Castillo de San Miguel

Abstract

El reconocimiento de los actos de valor de los que han defendido los intereses colectivos de la sociedad palmera, pasa por la recuperación del patrimonio histórico, sobre todo de aquellas edificaciones que, a pesar del tiempo que llevan desaparecidas siguen estando presentes en la memoria colectiva de la población. En este sentido hay que entender la recuperación del castillo de San Miguel y de su plaza anexa (batería Baja). Además, este conjunto se puede convertir en un hito urbanístico en la entrada sur de Santa Cruz de La Palma, como lo es el Barco de la Virgen, al norte.
