Abstract

This article presents preliminary results of research undertaken to analyze efficiency indicator construction problems in banking sectors and corporations. The opinion put forward in this article is that criteria must be different in both cases because of output measurement problems and the homogeneity of market characteristics. This is illustrated by means of references to the Spanish banking system.
