Abstract

The discussed article presents research on the value of the time of private travels by road transport in Poland. This research is based on the data obtained by the method of conditional pricing from a representative group of 1000 adult Poles. In the analysis of the collected data the logit model was used, in which the dependent variable was the probability of rejecting by the respondents of the proposed rate of single payment in exchange for the possibility of shortening the travel. The obtained results indicate that the average value of the unit of time of travel is higher than the average rate of gross remuneration for the equivalent period. In the research the socio-economic variables having influence on the vale of the time of travel were also discussed.
