Turk Dis Ticaretinin Alternatif Modeller Acisindan Degerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Bu calismanin amaci, Turkiye’nin dis ticaretinin alternatif dis ticaret modelleri (Heckscher-Ohlin-Samuelson, Chamberlin-Heckscher-Ohlin ve Monopolcu Rekabet) acisindan degerlendirilerek, bu modellerden hangisinin Turkiye dis ticaretinde daha etkin oldugunun ortaya konulmasidir. Bu amacla, 1982-2000 donemi icin Turkiye’nin 62 ulke ile arasindaki ikili dis ticareti panel veri seti kullanilarak incelenmistir. Calismada kullanilan model Cieslik (2007) tarafindan kullanilan modelin genisletilmis halidir. Model once calisma kapsamindaki 62 ulkenin tamami icin tahmin edilmis, daha sonra ulkeler dusuk gelirli ve yuksek gelirli olarak ayristirilarak bu ulke gruplari icin tekrar tahmin edilmistir. Ekonometrik tahminleme ile elde edilen bulgular ulke gruplari icin benzerlik gostermektedir. Bulgulara gore Turkiye’nin incelenen tum ulke gruplariyla ticaretinde Chamberlin-Heckscher-Ohlin modeli daha aciklayicidir. Bu model, iki mal varsayimi altinda mallardan bir tanesinin homojen, digerinin farklilasmis oldugunu kabul etmektedir. Dolayisiyla, Turkiye’nin dis ticaretini belirleyici tek etken faktor donanimlari degildir. Bunun yani sira ulkelerin ekonomik buyuklukleri de onem tasimaktadir.
