Abstract

Yoksulluk, tum dunyada oldugu gibi Turkiye’de de goz ardi edilemeyecek sosyolojik bir gercektir ve acilen cozumlenmesi gereken birinci sorun haline gelmistir. Bu calismanin amaci, Turkiye geneli, kentsel ve kirsal kesim icin hanehalki yoksulluk duzeyini belirleyen unsurlari analiz etmektir. Turkiye Istatistik Kurumu (TUIK) tarafindan gerceklestirilen 2004 yili Hanehalki Butce Anketi ham verileri kullanilarak yapilan analizlerde logit model kullanilmistir. Sonuclar, yoksullugun en onemli belirleyicilerinin hanehalki reisinin isteki durumu, isyerinin statusu, isyeri faaliyeti ve hanehalki buyuklugu oldugunu gostermistir.
