Abstract

Specific topics covered include the core and advanced levels, reclassification of patent collections to the current version of the IPC, the additional information in the electronic version, the principles and rules of the reformed IPC, the Master Classification Database (MCD), and aspects of the information technology support for the IPC, such as automated assistance in applying classification symbols and multilingual access.
