General approach to obtain the magnetic refrigeretion ideal coefficient of performance COP

Abstract

The magnetic refrigeration, for the second order transition materials, is considered and its ideal coefficient of performance COP is obtained by a general physics approach. The COP is shown to depend on the temperature in a non-linear way and on the magnetic field ratio, at the temperature considered.
