Changing competitive strategies in the telecommunications subscriber equipment industry

Abstract

This paper will outline recent major changes in the international structure of the subscriber equipment industry and attempt to explain the factors which have caused these changes. The focus will be the strategies and competitive behaviour of the leading telecommunications subscriber equipment firms in the major OECD countries, within the context of the changing technological and regulatory environment.
