Abstract

A counterexample is given to illustrate that a key model transformation in the paper entitled "Deriving decision rules to locate export containers in container yards" [Kim, K.H., Park, Y.M., Ryu, K.-R., 2000. Deriving decision rules to locate export containers in container yards. European Journal of Operational Research 124 (1), 89-101] is not correct. Then, the errors in the original derivation of the model transformation are analyzed, and the correct form is presented.
