Abstract

The main aim of this article is to analyze the evolution of specialization of countries and regions at level NUTS 3 in Europe and offer an overview of the main features of specialization in the EU-25, having into account models based on the indexes of specialization of type Helfindahl-Hirschaman and Krugman. The results shows an increase in specialization for the period 1995-2004.
