Ausbildung ausweiten und effektiver gestalten

Abstract

Wegen einer steigenden Bildungsbeteiligung ist das Erwerbspersonenpotential der jungen Menschen in den letzten Jahren gesunken. Aufgrund des Nachrückens geburtenschwacher Jahrgänge wird die Bedeutung der Jüngeren für den Arbeitsmarkt alsbald noch mehr abnehmen. Die Konsequenzen der demografischen Veränderung zeigen sich aber erst mit einer Zeitverzögerung. So wird es für eine kurze Zeit noch einen Überhang an bisher unversorgten Ausbildungsplatzbewerbern geben. Zudem steigt die Zahl der jungen Menschen, die lange im Bildungswesen bleiben. Dieser Zeitaufschub sollte Politik und Unternehmen nicht zum Abwarten verleiten - vielmehr sind sie schon jetzt gefordert: Bei der Bildungsplanung ist auf eine Verkürzung der Ausbildungszeiten hinzuwirken. Für Unternehmen stellt sich die Aufgabe, den künftigen Bedarf an Fachkräften zu sichern und sich deshalb mehr als bisher in der betrieblichen Ausbildung zu engagieren. Problematisch ist, dass ein erheblicher Teil der Jugendlichen die Schule ohne einen Hauptschulabschluss verlässt.
