Höhere Wettbewerbsfähigkeit durch produktbegleitende Dienstleistungen: Betreibermodelle im deutschen Maschinenbau

Abstract

Industrieunternehmen prüfen zunehmend, wie sie ihr bisheriges Angebot mit produktbegleitenden Dienstleistungen anreichern können, um die Wettbewerbsposition zu verbessern, die Wertschöpfungstiefe zu vergrößern und neue Marktpotentiale zu erschließen. Die Entwicklung geht dabei "vom Produkt zur Problemlösung". Das Potential ist hierbei noch lange nicht ausgeschöpft. Der Maschinenbau ist eine Branche, die zum Erhalt ihrer Wettbewerbsfähigkeit traditionell auf den technischen Fortschritt setzt, dabei aber häufig Rationalisierungseffekte zu verkraften hat. Hier bieten sich durchaus Möglichkeiten, die eigene Marktposition durch produktbegleitende Dienstleistungen zu verbessern. Betreibermodelle sind dabei eine besonders weitgehende Lösung.
