Grüne Vorschläge für eine gerechte, ökologische und wirtschaftspolitisch vernünftige Steuerpolitik: zurück zu soliden Haushalten

Abstract

Ziel grüner Steuerpolitik ist, die staatliche Handlungsfähigkeit für wichtige Investitionen in die ökologische Modernisierung, für mehr Klimaschutz, die soziale Gerechtigkeit und die Solidarität innerhalb und außerhalb des Staates sowie zwischen den Generationen zu erhalten bzw. wiederzugewinnen. Dazu gehört, den Schuldenstand auf ein ökonomisch tragfähiges Maß zurückzuführen, denn auch das ist nachhaltig und eine Frage der Generationengerechtigkeit. So sind die Schulden der öffentlichen Haushalte seit Beginn der internationalen Finanz- und Wirtschaftskrise um rund 400 Milliarden Euro angestiegen und haben die Zwei-Billionen-Grenze überschritten.
