Abstract

Zur Existenzgründungsförderung für Arbeitslose steht mit dem Existenzgründungszuschuss ("Ich-AG") seit Anfang 2003 neben dem schon seit längerem bestehenden Überbrückungsgeld (ÜG) ein weiteres Förderinstrument für gründungswillige Arbeitslose zur Verfügung. Erste Evaluationsergebnisse zeigen, dass a) die beiden Programme unterschiedliche Zielgruppen attrahieren, b) die Teilnehmer beider Programme im Vergleich zu einer Kontrollgruppe von nicht geförderten Arbeitslosen 16 Monate nach Beginn der Maßnahmen eine deutlich geringere Wahrscheinlichkeit haben, arbeitslos gemeldet zu sein, und c) sich die beiden Förderprogramme hinsichtlich bestimmter Erfolgsfaktoren der Nachhaltigkeit der Gründung unterscheiden.
