La Tenencia De La Tierra Durante El Periodo Republicano Entre 1810 Y 1936

Abstract

El problema de la posesión de la tierra en Colombia, caracterizado por la alta concentración y poco desarrollo de actividades agrícolas productivas, está marcado desde el día en que fue colonizado nuestro territorio por la corona espanola. Las distintas épocas que ha vivido nuestro país demuestran que la forma como se ha distribuido la tierra ha sido excluyente y ha creado una estructura de clases, de profundas contradicciones, que margina a las clases campesinas y trabajadoras. Este estudio mostro que durante el periodo republicano entre 1810 y 1935, las ideologías políticas, la lucha por el poder, las guerras civiles y las clases sociales contribuyeron a la agudización del problema fundamental de la tierra, el de la distribución y la producción, siendo el papel del Estado insignificante a través de las reformas que buscaban redistribuir la propiedad entre los más pobres, pero siendo determinante en la acumulación de tierras por parte de los grandes e influyentes terratenientes.
