Industrialización y dinámicas espaciales en Bogotá: las urgencias de gestión territorial

Abstract

Las reformas estructurales e institucionales que debieron adecuar al país, y en especiala Bogotá, a los estándares mundiales de productividad y competitividad, han significadouna alta concentración de las actividades productivas en la ciudad capital, cuando se esperabaque fuesen los puertos y las fronteras las que cobraran un mayor dinamismo. Sinembargo, se ha presentado una pérdida de dinamismo relativo y absoluto de la industriamanufacturera, tanto de Bogotá como de los centros industriales tradicionales. Esto haimplicado mantener la Ciudad como polo de atracción y requerir una reconfiguración deespacios, incluyendo procesos de conurbación. Se ha convertido entonces en prioridadpara la Ciudad, pensar su territorio y su dimensión regional, y concordar un proceso dereindustrialización que la conduzca a responder a las exigencias del país y de la región.Este artículo presenta primero un debate teórico sobre la importancia de la comprensióndel espacio y del territorio como elementos necesarios para el diseno de estrategias defuturo. Posteriormente se analiza el caso del comportamiento de Bogotá y sus tendenciasespaciales y de la industria manufacturera. Finalmente se presentan las conclusiones de trabajo
