Abstract

El Premio Nobel, en homenaje a Alfred Nobel, se empezó a otorgar en el ano 1901 a quienes hicieran aportes al desarrollo científico, mejoramiento y ayuda a la humanidad en diferentes aspectos del conocimiento; estos campos, los cuales Nobel dejó consignados en su testamento, fueron inicialmente cinco: Física, Química, Literatura, Medicina y trabajo por la Paz mundial. El Premio Nobel en Economía se concede por primera vez en el ano 1969; son aspirantes a él aquellas personas dedicadas a la investigación y la búsqueda de teorías y modelos capaces de explicar los fenómenos en diferentes áreas de la economía como la teoría monetaria, economía matemática, política fiscal, comercio internacional y teoría del bienestar entre otrasEn este espacio, se quiere seguir rindiendo un homenaje a quienes se les ha concedido esta distinción, que casi siempre se convierte en alegría nacional para los países de origen de los ganadores. El turno es ahora para el ganador en el ano 1970, Paul Samuelson, que por su ardua labor investigativa, de valioso aporte a las Ciencias Económicas, recibió el premio hace 34 anos.
