Inversión, progreso técnico y crecimiento económico. Más allá de Hussein y Thirlwall

Abstract

Este trabajo sobre crecimiento económico, presenta una modificación al teoremafundamental de Harrod al incluirle el cambio técnico. El nuevo teorema tienesu soporte en la determinación de la renta según los postulados de Kalecki.Este teorema se comprueba empíricamente a través de la metodología datapanel para 88 países en dos versiones: una, se realiza una estimación entre latasa de crecimiento de la economía, la tasa de inversión y el crecimiento de lasimportaciones como variable proxi al cambio técnico. Dos, relaciona la propensiónmarginal a invertir dividida por la relación marginal capital producto más elcambio técnico. Se concluye que el teorema modificado determina la tasa decrecimiento de la economía y que las importaciones juegan un papel decisivoen la determinación de la tasa de crecimiento de la economía.
