Abstract

Resumen: La recuperación económica y comercial del mundo depende mucho del desempeño de Estados Unidos y China, responsables en gran parte de la demanda externa de productos básicos. Luego de la recesión económica de 2001, Estados Unidos viene creciendo y reactivando su demanda y el comercio con otros países. Igualmente, el crecimiento reciente de China incrementó su demanda de bienes externos como materias primas, beneficiando a países emergentes y latinoamericanos a través del aumento del precio de los commodities. Este acelerado crecimiento preocupó a sus autoridades, llevándolas a implementar medidas de desaceleración económica para prevenir una caída abrupta que pueda afectar a las economías del mundo.
