El desarrollo humano en los sistemas de producción de panela en el municipio de Chitaraque - Boyacá

Abstract

Resumen El presente artículo muestra los resultados de la investigación en la construcción del Índice de Desarrollo Humano que se realizó en los sistemas de producción de panela, con diferente grado tecnológico, en el municipio de Chitaraque. Se describe la importancia del sector panelero en dicho municipio y en la región de la hoya del río Suárez. Se desarrollan unos conceptos básicos en torno al Desarrollo Humano y a los indicadores estructurales del Índice de Desarrollo Humano –IDH. Explora además los indicadores del IDH en Colombia y en el departamento de Boyacá, con el fin de relacionarlos frente a los resultados de la investigación. Por último, permite determinar el IDH de la población de los sistemas de producción de panela en dicho municipio.
