Abstract

Bico Internacional es una empresa colombiana que ha marcado nuevas tendencias en la internacionalización de su operación. Este documento expone un análisis de caso referente a la experiencia de Bico en Colombia y en el extranjero, complementado con la aplicación de modelos teóricos como los de Prahalad y Hamel, Uppsala, Johanson y Vahlne y el propuesto por Stephen H. Rhinesmith, con el objeto de explicar el proceso de expansión de mercados seguido por la companía. Bico es una empresa con gran capacidad para responder a los desafíos que requieren los entornos locales e internacionales, pero también con la gran habilidad de innovar en sus productos, en el diseno de su estructura organizativa y en sus estrategias de marketing.
