La velocidad de circulación y la demanda de dinero en el corto y en el largo plazo en Colombia

Abstract

Se estima una función dinámica de la velocidad de circulación del dinero en la cual intervienen como variables explicativas el nivel de ingreso, la tasa de interés, la inflación, la riqueza financiera. Se encuentra que, en el largo plazo, solamente la tasa de interés influye sobre la velocidad. Las demás variables ejercen influencia únicamente en el corto plazo. Los resultados de las estimaciones se utilizan para explorar los procesos dinámicos de ajuste de la demanda real de dinero ante cambios permanentes y temporales de las diferentes variables.
