Rutas de transformación productiva

Abstract

Este artículo propone un algoritmo para identificar rutas de transformación productiva con base en estimaciones de distancia entre productos. El algoritmo encuentra secuencias de bienes que describen la transición o ruta entre las ventajas comparativas de un país y sus objetivos de política industrial. Como complemento al aporte teórico, se realizaron pruebas piloto del algoritmo con datos sobre Colombia, que muestran que es posible encontrar rutas, y que un trayecto produce en promedio reducciones del 18% en la distancia directa entre las ventajas comparativas de Colombia y sus objetivos de política de largo plazo
