Abstract

Los realistas críticos han recibido gran apoyo dentro de las comunidades de investigación post-keynesiana y marxista, y es probable que la influencia del realismo crítico en el institucionalismo aumente en los próximos años. Los post-keynesianos y los marxistas mantienen discusiones sobre las fortalezas y las debilidades del realismo crítico. Los institucionalistas deben tener una discusión similar. Este escrito aborda una característica clave del programa realista crítico: su crítica de la economía dominante. En particular, critica el uso de los realistas críticos del concepto de clausura, y argumenta que el realismo crítico se equivoca al considerar que la ontología de la economía dominante es humeana. El propósito del artículo es promover la discusión crítica sobre el papel del realismo crítico en el institucionalismo.
