    Abstract

    En la actualidad, son pocas las investigaciones que se han realizado con el objetivo de analizar el trabajo en el campo; por lo que en esta investigación se analizaron las actividades de los campesinos dedicados a la cosecha de brócoli, dando especial importancia a aspectos como el Entorno Físico, la Carga Mental, los Aspectos Psicosociales y el Tiempo de Trabajo. Como instrumentos para la captación de información, se utilizó el Método LEST de evaluación ergonómica y una encuesta de preguntas abiertas sobre dolor provocado en el trabajo. La investigación fue realizada en 5 “centros de trabajo” dedicados a la cosecha de brócoli en la región del Bajío, 2 en el estado de Querétaro y 3 en el estado de Guanajuato. La muestra estuvo compuesta de 62 trabajadores, hombres y mujeres. El estudio indica que más del 50% de los campesinos encuestados tiene molestias en los pies tales como dolor leve o intenso; el 60% le incomoda caminar al momento de realizar su trabajo, esto asociado a la humedad del suelo; algo que ellos quisieran cambiar es el sistema de riego. El entorno físico en el método LEST, resultó favorable, con calificaciones de 2, 4 y 4.25, las cuales son consideradas como “débiles molestias”; el status social da valores de 10 para los tres métodos de cosecha evaluados.
