    Abstract

    La decisión de adquirir una vivienda tradicionalmente se hace en función de atributos económicos o financieros. El error en este caso, es tomar una decisión de inversión sobre un análisis superficial, la cual tiene como consecuencia un elevado costo asociado, dado que es una esta inversión a largo plazo y muchas veces para toda la vida. Este artículo es el resultado de una investigación realizada en la zona conurbada de las ciudades de Colima y Villa de Alvarez, en el Estado de Colima, México, donde se aplica la técnica del Proceso de Jerarquía Analítica. Para generar el modelo en la adquisición de una vivienda de interés económico, se define un conjunto de 7 atributos y 28 subatributos, los cuales están relacionados con diversas características que impactan el confort de una vivienda, como son la ubicación, las condiciones físicas, los servicios, dimensiones, propuesta económico-financiero así como las empresas constructoras. En base a esto criterio, se estructuraron jerárquicamente los atributos de la inversión. El modelo fue aplicado en la adquisición de una vivienda y se concluye que el modelo es suficiente y eficaz.
