On Current Developments in Construction: Overview of Selected Results of the ifo Business Survey

Abstract

Germany’s formerly crisis-stricken construction sector is booming. This becomes clear by looking at the indicators of the highly-regarded ifo Business Climate. The indicator on the current business situation in construction is on a record run. The current upswing in construction is due to an uptick in demand in all five sub-segments of the industry.
