Strukturelle Konsolidierung ohne Finanzpolitik – Zu den Ergebnissen der Steuerschätzung vom Mai 2012

Abstract

Der Arbeitskreis »Steuerschätzungen« hat auf seiner 140. Sitzung die Prognose für die Aufkommensentwicklung der Steuereinnahmen erneut nach oben korrigiert. Dabei wird der Optimismus der Schätzungen von der für das Steueraufkommen günstigen Entwicklung der Verteilung und Verwendung des Inlandsprodukts getragen, obgleich die Prognose für das Bruttoinlandsprodukt insgesamt kaum korrigiert wurde. Die steigenden Löhne und Konsumausgaben induzieren eine strukturelle Verbesserung der Einnahmen. Die Finanzpolitik wirkt nicht restriktiv, vermeidet aber bisher eine prozyklische Expansion.
