A new era in the worldwide supply of agricultural raw material?

Abstract

The price increases on international markets for grain, milk and dairy products have raised hopes among farmers but have led to consternation among consumers and enterprises in the affected economic sectors. It is unclear whether this is a random and passing development or whether we are entering a new era in world agricultural markets. This article examines the various interrelationships that have previously determined market and price developments and that will influence future development.
