Abstract

Im Jahr 2004 wurden in der EU und in Deutschland drei Reformen verabschiedet, welche die Bedingungen für die Niederlassung von Selbständigen aus den neuen EU-Mitgliedsländern in Deutschland deutlich verbessert haben. In diesem Beitrag wird untersucht, in welchem Maße sich Selbständige aus den neuen Mitgliedsländern als Folge dieser Reformen in Deutschland niedergelassen haben und ob der Weg über die Selbständigkeit zur Umgehung der bis 2011 bestehenden Beschränkung der Zuwanderung von Arbeitskräften genutzt wurde.
