Ifo Architects Survey: Business climate becomes cloudier

Author

Listed:
  • Erich Gluch

Abstract

The business climate reported by freelance architects deteriorated further at the beginning of the 4th quarter of 2006. Dissatisfaction with the current business situation was expressed by 48 percent or the surveyed architects (3rd quarter: 43 percent). Only one fifth gave positive responses. The six-month outlook also became cloudier. Although 8 percent reported a favourable order situation (3rd quarter: 7 percent), the share of pessimists increased from 26 to 29 percent.
