Großbritannien: Sanfte Landung nach der Hochkonjunktur?

Abstract

Die britische Wirtschaft hat sich im Jahr 2003 besser entwickelt als der westeuropäische Durchschnitt. Das reale Bruttoinlandsprodukt nahm um 2,2% zu. Die Arbeitslosenquote lag im Jahresdurchschnitt bei 5%. Die Verbraucherpreise erhöhten sich um 1,4%. 2004 dürfte das reale Bruttoinlandsprodukt um 3¼% expandieren. Die Arbeitslosenquote dürfte im Durchschnitt des Jahres auf 4¾% sinken, die Konsumentenpreise um 1½% steigen. 2005 wird das BIP um 2¾% zunehmen. Die Arbeitslosenquote wird bei 4¾% verharren und die Teuerungsrate etwa 2% erreichen.
