Ifo Business Survey in December 2000

Abstract

The business climate in trade and industry clouded over somewhat more in December. In west Germany both the assessments of the current situation as well as the business outlook worsened; in east Germany the deterioration of the business climate is primarily the result of clearly unfavourable assessments of business prospects. Even exports are only expected to provide weak stimulus.
