    Abstract

    Am 68. »ifo Konjunkturtest International« (KTI) beteiligten sich gut 650 Experten aus 80 Ländern. Das Weltwirtschaftsklima hat sich zwar seit der Umfrage im Januar nicht weiter verbessert, blieb aber mit 6,55 Punkten auf dem hohen Niveau vom Jahresanfang. Während die aktuelle Lage noch besser beurteilt wurde als damals, sind die Erwartungen nicht mehr ganz so zuversichtlich. Die amerikanischen Teilnehmer sehen nach wie vor keine Anzeichen einer sich in absehbarer Zeit abschwächenden Konjunktur. Die Chancen Westeuropas, allmählich zum Wachstum und zu den Produktivitätszuwächsen der USA aufzuschließen, haben sich verbessert. Der jüngste Tankan-Report der Bank of Japan spricht von einer allmählichen Erholung der japanischen Wirtschaft. Diese Annahme wird von den Testteilnehmern geteilt. Mit Ausnahme der japanischen Experten rechnen die Befragten damit, dass die großen Zentralbanken die geldpolitischen Zügel im nächsten halben Jahr weiter straffen werden. So lange die US-Wirtschaft der europäischen weiterhin so deutlich überlegen ist, wird der Euro nach Ansicht der Experten verwundbar bleiben.
