Industrie (West) : Kapazitätsauslastung weiter gesunken

Abstract

Die Betriebe des westdeutschen verarbeitenden Gewerbes nutzten ihre Anlagen im Dezember 1998 durchschnittlich zu 85,9% (saison- und witterungsbereinigt) und damit erneut etwas weniger intensiv als bei der letzten Umfrage (September: 86,7%). In der Industrie der neuen Bundesländer, die ihre Auslastungen im dritten Qurartal noch hatte steigern können, ist der Ausnutzungsgrad zum Jahresende ebenfalls gesunken. Die Reichweite der Auftragsbestände reduzierte sich von 3,4 auf 3,1 Produktionsmonate, während sie im Westen unverändert bei 2,9 Monaten blieb. Die Anlagen erschienen im Hinblick auf die in den nächsten 12 Monaten erwartete Nachfrage vermehrt als überdimensioniert.
