Neue Bundesländer : Bauunternehmen revidieren ihre Investitionspläne für 1998 nach unten ; Ergebnisse des ifo Investitionstests Frühjahr 1998

Abstract

In Ostdeutschland muß 1998 erneut mit einem Rückgang der Bauproduktion gerechnet werden. Nach den Ergebnissen des ifo Investitionstests hat sich diese Erwartung auch auf die Investitionspläne der ostdeutschen Bauunternehmen ausgewirkt. Nachdem sie in der Erhebung vor einem halben Jahr noch eher zuversichtliche Angaben gemacht hatten, haben sie inzwischen ihre Pläne erheblich zurückgenommen, so daß die Hochschätzung für 1998 um 8% niedrigere Investitionsausgaben als im Vorjahr ergibt. Die Investitionssumme entspricht mit 1,65 Mrd. DM nur knapp 40% des Maximalniveaus von 1993 (4,2 Mrd. DM). Nach den starken Revisionen gegenüber der letzten Umfrage ist es derzeit noch offen, ob die (eigenen) Investitionen des Baugewerbes in den neuen Bundesländern in diesem Jahr die Talsohle erreichen und 1999 mit Aufstockungen der Budgets gerechnet werden kann.
