Innovationstätigkeit und Aspekte ihrer Förderung in den neuen Bundesländern : Ergebnisse des ifo Innovationstests für den Zeitraum 1990 bis 1995

Abstract

Das ifo Institut befragt seit 1979 westdeutsche und seit 1990 auch ostdeutsche Industrieunternehmen nach ihren Innovationsaktivitäten. Mit Ausnahme des Jahres 1990 realisierten jeweils etwa 70 % der befragten ostdeutschen Unternehmen Produkt- und/oder Prozeßinnovationen. Eine Sonderfrage im Dezember 1995 ergab, daß zwischen 1992 und 1995 61 % der ostdeutschen Industrieunternehmen für Zwecke der Forschung, Entwicklung oder Innovation eine Fördermaßnahme in Anspruch genommen haben. Die geförderten Unternehmen hatten eine wesentlich günstigere Umsatzstruktur, und sie beurteilten auch ihre mittelfristigen Absatzperspektiven zuversichtlicher als die nicht geförderten.
