Innovationsstandort Deutschland : Ergebnisse des ifo Innovationstests

Abstract

Die Ergebnisse des ifo Innovationstests zeigen u.a., daß in der westdeutschen Industrie der Anteil wachstumsträchtiger Erzeugnisse am Umsatz 1992 erneut abgenommen hat. Zur Wiederherstellung einer ausgewogenen Umsatzstruktur, d.h. zum Ausgleich der drohenden Umsatzverluste auf stagnierenden oder sogar schrumpfenden Märkten, müßte in den nächsten Jahren die Produktinnovationsquote erhöht werden. Der Zusammenhang zwischen Markt- und Innovationsdynamik wurde durch die Befragung vom Dezenber 1992 bestätigt : Unter den auf wachsenden Märkten operierenden Unternehmen hatten rund 80% Produktinnovationen durchgeführt (Prozeßinnovationen: 73%), von den Unternehmen, deren Absatzmärkte stagnieren, meldeten nur rund 60% Produktinnovationen (58%), und bei schrumpfenden Märkten sanken die Anteile der Innovatoren auf 52 bzw. 49%.
