Beschleunigtes Trendwachstum des westdeutschen Bauvolumens : Ausgewählte Ergebnisse der Ifo-Bauvorausschätzung/Bundesgebiet 1990-2000

Abstract

Mit den längerfristigen Aussichten für die Niveau- und Strukturentwicklung des Bauvolumens hat sich im Schwerpunkt die Neuauflage der ifo-Bauvorausschätzung/Bundesgebiet beschäftigt. Mit einem deutlichen Übergewicht haben exogene Faktoren bewirkt, daß die vom ifo-Institut schon frühzeitig vorausgeschätzte Trendumkehr der Langfristentwicklung des westdeutschen Bauvolumens jetzt sehr viel früher und weitaus kräftiger eingesetzt hat. Im Jahre 2000 wird der Trendwert des gesamten Bauvolumens demnach um rund 35 Mrd. DM höher sein als 1989; nicht nur die konjunkturellen, auch die Trendwerte (2000: rund 315 Mrd. DM) erreichen ein zuvor noch nicht realisiertes Niveau. Die drei großen Bausparten tragen unterschiedlich zur Gesamtentwicklung bei; in der Indexdarstellung zieht der Wirtschaftsbau nach oben davon. Wohnungsbau sowie öffentlicher und Verkehrsbau expandieren weit unterdurchschnittlich. Der Bausektor bleibt aber trotz der Trendumkehr im längjährigen Durchschnitt doch noch eine leichte Wachstumsbremse für die Expansion der Gesamtwirtschaft.
