Der „kleine“ Unterschied: Integration von Frauen mit und ohne Kind in den Arbeitsmarkt

Abstract

Während das unterschiedliche Erwerbsverhalten von Männern und Frauen häufig Gegenstand von Diskussionen ist, wird ein Vergleich des Erwerbsverhaltens von Frauen mit und ohne Kind nur selten untersucht. In diesem Artikel werden die Unterschiede bzgl. des Arbeitsumfangs von Frauen mit und ohne Kind dargestellt. Zwei Faktoren, nämlich das Bildungsniveau der jeweiligen Frauen sowie das Alter der Kinder, werden herangezogen, um mögliche Zusammenhänge für das divergierende Verhalten zu finden. Schluss folgernd daraus werden Vorschläge aufgegriffen, wie die Vereinbarkeit von Beruf und Familie in der Zukunft besser ausgestaltet werden könnte.
