Unternehmensnachfolge im sächsischen Mittelstand

Abstract

Neben einer hohen Anzahl von Neugründungen ist eine Volkswirtschaft auch darauf angewiesen, dass die bereits am Markt eingeführten Unternehmen von den nachfolgenden Generationen weitergeführt werden. Vor dem Hintergrund der sich abzeichnenden demographischen Entwicklung erhält das Thema Generationswechsel noch zusätzliche Brisanz. Auch im Freistaat Sachsen steht in den nächsten Jahren im Mittelstand eine Vielzahl von Unternehmensnachfolgen an. Die sächsische Landesregierung hat daher den Mittelstandsbericht 2005/2006 diesem Themenkreis gewidmet und das ifo Institut für Wirtschaftsforschung, Niederlassung Dresden, mit der Erstellung einer Studie zur spezifisch sächsischen Situation beauftragt. Der vorliegende Beitrag fasst die zentralen Ergebnisse dieser Studie zusammen.
